Charlie the Cavalier Begs for Attention

<a href=”; rel=”nofollow”><img style=”display: none” src=”; /></a>

I recently had the chance to try and review a new children’s book called Charlie the Cavalier Begs for Attention written by Lisa Rusczyk and illustrated by  Magdalena Takáčová. This was a very sweet children’s book that would be ideal for children with parents who travel for business or are out of town a lot. It comes with an adorable puppet which u can use to interact with your child via webcam. This story explains that loved ones sometimes have to be away but gives the child reassurance that Charlie is there protecting them. The story has a sweet rhyme scheme mixed with songs and whimsical illustrations. I thought it was very enjoyable, and a great tool to teach a life lesson that is very prominent in many families today. The book will be published in print and digital forms in July 2014, and will be available for purchase on Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using <a href=”; rel=”nofollow”></a>. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Influenster: TLC VOXBOX

Hey guys, So I received the TLC VoxBox from Influenster…Yay! It was packed full of fun little things to try. Let me give you the DL on the stuff I got to try for free.

Shell Fuel Rewards Card- This sounds like a great program, there are lots of ways to earn cents off on your gas purchases..which let’s face it …we all need: shopping online, dining out, shopping out, and shoppin g at shell stations for gas and other things. Unfortunately for me there are no shell gas stations for 50 miles or more from where I live..but for most people this would be great.

Breyer’s Gelato Indulgances-These are yummy gelato mixed with sauces and topping to for one incredibly delicious dessert experience.

Puffs to go- I got the travel or to go pack from puffs. It’s super convenient to carry around with you and the tissues are so soft. It’s great for allergy season, when you are out and about.

Neosporin Neo To Go- This is a great little devise that you can carry with u for boo boos. It sprays on the Neosporin and conveniently twists to open. Unfortunately I did not read the instructions and I took the top off…don’t do I broke it because the spring that makes it spray with the top on came out. This was my own stupid fault for not reading the

Ivory Bar Soap- Ivory is of course a classic soap that I think everyone loves. It’s creamy, swmeels great and makes my skin soft and also smell great.

Avon Anew Reversalist Express Wrinkle Smoother- This stuff seems to actually work pretty good to my surprise.. It doesn’t completely get rid of wrinkles but it does kind of blur them out by filing them in. I use it daily for the unsightly wrinkles on my Forehead.

Well folks that was my second VOXBOX..I’m hoping for many more. It’s so much fun to get a surprise box full of great products to try. I hope this was helpful . Thanks for reading.

All Caught Up

Hey there readers, ok so I’m all caught up with the previous posts from my old blog. I ended up cancelling Birchbox after a few months and going for Ipsy which I felt was more geared toward makeup and the samples were more of what I was looking for. I love Ipsy. As soon as I get this months box I will let you know what I get. I also got Beauty Box 5 this month with a free coupon code. I didn’t cancel in time so I am going to get it for one more month, but I won’t be continuing after that, the samples seemed smaller and not as much makeup as I wanted, but it’s always great to get to try something for free…am I right? I have some great posts about some awesome bargains I got coming soon please stay tuned! It will take me a little bit to start getting into a routine and blogging regularly. MY mind is somewhat all over the place, there are a million things I want to do lola nd only so much time, which reminds me of the most perfect thing I saw on Pinterest that sums me up quite nicely:

Anyway, that about sums me up. See you all soon with lots of great random chaos for you to mull over!

December Birchbox

Hey there readers, well I am a bit behind, what with the holidays and everything that comes with them, but here we go…time to catch up hehe. I have 2 months worth or Birchboxes to tell you about. So first we’ll talk about my December Birchbox.
So this month’s Birch box had some great items to tell you about…
Lait-creme 24 hour miracle cream from Embryolisse: This little moisturizer that moonlights as a makeup remover and primer runs 16 bux for a full size tube. I just got a small amount, so I can’t tell you about long term effects of moisturizing with it, but I can tell you that it’s really rich, it feels great on, and also I did try it as a makeup remover too and it’s gentle on the eyes which has been a problem I’ve had with other makeup removers, and works great.
Pink Glace Moisturizing Lip Gloss from Jouer:This was a cute little mini lip gloss in a sparkly light pink color…it had a nice little sheen and felt good on…I’m not a huge fan of the shimmer glosses but it was pretty if you like some sparkle on your lips…you can get a full size version for 20 bux.
Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat milk from Klorane: You can get a full size product for 18 dollars. I’m a big fan of dry shampoo, whether your hair gets oily in between washes and you need a little help in the roots, or you just want to add a little texture and or lift to your roots, this stuff works great. This brand seems great, and smelled great.
Body soap from Sumbody: You can get a 3 pack of these guys for 17.85. It’s all natural, infused with botanical oils and I will tell you it smells wonderful.
chocopod from chuao:You can get and 8 pack of assorted chocopods for 9.95. This was interesting…it was a little chocolate bar that was similar to a crackle except that it had some real crackle in it ..almost like poprocks…very cool.
So that was my December box..let me know if anyones tried Birchbox and if you got the same things or something different. I just got my January Birchbox today, so I will let you know very soon what I got and how great it is. Also I started receiving Ipsy boxes last month..which is very similar but they are full sized products. I’ll let you know more about that soon. Thanks for listening.

Birchbox Update

Hey guys it’s me again 😛 Just an update on my Birchbox products. I’ve tried them all out now…so let me give you the DL. I am absolutely in love with the skinny mini liquid eyeliner from Eyeko London !!! This is so great!! It’s basically a little fine tipped marker, but it’s liquid eyeliner. It goes on so easy..I’m loving it! Not to mention it does not smudge…it is great! Now this is something that I would spend the $16 bucks on!
Also loving the highlighting stick from Chella. This little stick is so versatile!
I also tried out the new shampoo and conditioner from Keratherapy. Though its hard to tell from just the tiny sample they sent…my hair does feel softer..I

That’s all folks..just a mini update. Early morning tomorrow, I’m doing a craft fair to sell some of my creative concoctions..let you know how it goes….Bye…

To kick it off I’m gonna start with my recent discovery of BirchBox. If you don’t know what BirchBox is, let me explain. BirchBox is a monthly box you get delivered to your house filled with great new beauty samples that you can essentially try before you buy. It only costs $10 a month..such a deal! So of coarse this is right up my alley! I just happened to receive my first box today! So I thought I’d share what great stuff my first box had in it with ..well..anyone who decides to read this… we go.
My first product was folle de joie eau de parfum…from joie…a very light earthy perfume…I like it. How great is it to try a new perfume without having to buy a bottle and decide it’s not for you, especially considering the full sized bottle of this is $98. This might not be the usual kind of perfume I go for, but I’m kinda liking it.
Next product in the box was Terranga Body Cream by TIOSSAN Dakar…This stuff is $38 per bottle. It’s very rich , I love the feel of it after it’s absorbed. I love the fact that it’s animal cruelty free and full of antioxidants. It has a great sort of light organic smell to it, really nice.
Product #3 is moisture shampoo and conditioner from Keratherapy…these are keratin infused professional products..can’t wait to try them…I’ll keep you updated on how they work.
Product #4 is an Ivory Lace Highlighter from looks like I received a full sized product here…bonus! and this one goes for $18. this is a highlighting pencil that can be used on the browbone, blemishes, under eye circles, and even some facial contouring…sounds great all around. I will definitely get a lot of use out of this.
The 5th product I got was a great skinny minni liquid eyeliner from Eyeko London..this is great it is a liquid eyeliner in marker form, with a really fine tip.The full sized product is $16 . This seems like such a simple alternative to the normal liquid liner. I look forward to trying it ad I’ll keep you updated.
BirchBox also sent me a bonus gift of a full sized Mint Cookie Ghirardelli chocolate bar….this is a new flavor and oh wow is it yummy!Definately worth a try for the holodays 🙂

So that’s it for this months Birch Box….can’t wait to try everything out and let you know how all of the products are…see you soon….Roberta
